Film Independent's Los Angeles Film Festival will present the LA premiere of Rick Famuyiwa's hip-hop-addled "Dope," the film everybody loved at Sundance, on Monday, June 8 ahead of its June 19 release from Open Road and Sony. This debauchery-fueled teen comedy won the Sundance Dramatic Editing Award and landed a coveted slot in the Cannes Directors' Fortnight. On Tuesday, June 9, LAFF hosts a master class with "Inside Out" writer/director Pete Docter followed by a screening of the Disney/Pixar film that also opens June 19 and will play out-of-competition at Cannes this year.
