Norway's Oscar Entry 'The Wave' (Bølgen) Screening at TIFF!

From director Roar Uthaug, "The Wave" (Bølgen) is an impressive and thrilling disaster film based on true events. It all starts when the Åkerneset mountain near a popular tourist attraction, Geiranger,  threatens to collapse into the ocean. At the center of it all is Kristian, a geologist, who is about to leave for the city with his family when the impending cataclysm begins unraveling. The film is said to be quite a unique experience that's on pair with any of Hollywood's blockbusters, but surpasses them in sophistication.
