Patricia Rozema, Sophie Deraspe and Other Female Canadian Talent To Be Feted at TIFF

Nine Canadian female directors and actors will be honored at the Toronto Film Festival this year. Telefilm Canada, a federal cultural agency that helps fund and promote Canadian film, and Birks Group, a jewelry company, have teamed up for the third year in a row to fete Canadian women for their artistic achievements both on screen and behind the camera. The 2015 honorees, selected by a jury of Canadian journalists, include director Patricia Rozema, whose "Into the Forest" will make its world premiere at TIFF, and "Schitt's Creek" star Catherine O'Hara, who is perhaps best known for her appearances in the Christopher Guest movies.
