'Carol' Heading To The New York Film Festival

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the 26 films that will comprise the Main Slate official selection of the 53rd New York Film Festival, running September 25 – October 11. Among them? Todd Haynes' lesbian romance period piece "Carol," which is more or less our most anticipated release of the year.  Most of the titles have their premiere statuses listed, but "Carol" is mysteriously not one them?
