SeriesFest: Season One Selects Winning Independent TV Pilots

As the paths to television continue to evolve and escape traditional means, the importance of festivals like this weekend's SeriesFest, presented in partnership with the Denver Film Society, only grows. Alongside special screenings of broadcast and cable programming from ABC, HBO, AMC, Starz and USA, 26 original independent pilots competed for recognition and attention in Denver, Colorado this weekend. The winner of Best Pilot, "Witnesses," won the opportunity to be seen on Comcast on Demand to all Colorado subscribers.
