Exclusive: L.E.S. Film Festival Announces Closing Night Film, Reveals 5th Anniversary Poster

The Lower East Side Film Festival has announced, exclusively to Indiewire, that the closing night film will be "A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story." The film, directed by, became one of Kickstarter's most successful crowd-funded documentary projects of all time and has already won awards at SXSW, Newport Beach and the inaugural Bentonville Film Festival, founded by Geena Davis, where it received the BFF Spirit Award.
