Ashland Independent Film Festival Hires New Director of Programming

Festival veteran Richard Herskowitz is taking over as director of programming for the Ashland Independent Film Festival. He served as director for the Virginia Film Festival from 1994-2008 and has been Artistic Director at the Houston Cinema Arts Festival since 2009.  Herskowitz will continue to program the Houston festival every fall as he lives part-time in Ashland in the winter and early spring, when the festival runs every April.
