NEXT FEST: 7 Questions with the RKSS Collective, the Filmmaking Team Behind 'Turbo Kid'

Inspired by 80s nostalgia and the films that marked the iconic decade, the Canadian film collective RKSS (Roadkill Superstars), formed by François Simard,  Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell, created a colorful homage titled “Turbo Kid.” In this post-apocalyptic tale a comic-book fan will become a hero to survive in a land filled with strange enemies and a few peculiar allies. "Turbo Kid" will close NEXT FEST on Sunday August 9th at the Theater at Ace Hotel in Downtown L.A. The film will be followed by DJ sets from Neon Indian and Toro Y Moi.
