'Eisenstein in Guanajuato,' 'Girls Lost' and 'Carol' Leads 27th NewFest Program

The 27th annual NewFest is set with a program of nearly 100 narrative features, documentaries and shorts. Presented in partnership with Outfest, the fest runs October 22-27 at the newly renovated Bow Tie Chelsea Cinemas and at the recently completed screening room at The LGBT Community Center in New York City. Highlights from the lineup include the New York City premieres of Matt Sobel's "Take Me to the River" and Peter Greenaway's "Eisenstein in Guanajuato," as well as Todd Haynes' acclaimed "Carol" screening as the Centerpiece Film of the festival a few weeks after it heads to the New York Film Festival.
