A Promising Marché!

The Marché du Film has started and on its first day one of the world's largest film markets welcomed 11,000 registered attendees, with a strong increase of participants from Korea and Italy. From these numbers, producers make up 29%, followed by distributors with 24% and sales agents with 11%. The Marché welcomes a record number of 117 countries. For the first time Albania, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will be represented. 3,300 films will be on sale. 950 films will be shown in the 1,400 screenings already planned, including 80% of market premieres!
